Sandra Venus, mixed-media artist, product designer, (former) architect, and teacher is known for her collection of New England-inspired home goods and artwork.

As a busy mom and small business owner, time spent making art is a source of happiness, self-confidence, and purpose for Sandra. Through her art classes and product collections featured in her shop, she hopes to inspire people to live a more creative and art-filled life.

Sandra studied Fine Arts at R.I.S.D. (Rhode Island School of Design) and has a Master in Architecture from the University of Washington in Seattle.

For the past 20+ years, Sandra has been working as a professional creative. First as an architect and then in 2017, she founded Sweetgum Home, a kitchen and home goods brand based on Sandra’s illustrations and paintings. Sandra now offers online art classes teaching mixed-media, fabric collage, and painting.

Sandra lives in a small village in Massachusetts just north of Boston with her husband, two boys (now grown young men), and her furry baby, Cosmo the cat. The gardens and landscape of New England are the inspiration for much of Sandra's artwork.
