StencilGirl artist Cynthia Silveri is a landscape architect by training and profession, and an artist at heart. After thirty years of drawing designs for gardens and parks, and teaching in the graphic communication studio at the University of Michigan, she has recently returned to making art. In addition to creating stencils for StencilGirl, she's exploring art journaling. Cynthia has also illustrated six adult coloring books (available on Amazon and at Walmart Stores nationwide,) with floral and landscape themes.
Cynthia loves teaching and has demonstrated and taught for Marvy Uchida at the Craft and Hobby Association and National Art and Materials World trade shows the past two years. She is lucky enough to live in the country, just outside of a small town, where she's surrounded by nature and has plenty of space for gardening. This setting also provides Cynthia with the inspiration for her art.
On a personal note, Cynthia's two daughters and new baby granddaughter, as well as her sheep, goats and dogs keep her busy! When she can find free time, she also loves to read, crochet, listen to music and go camping.
