Birgit is a printmaker and mixed media artist who loves color and experimenting with paints and inks and all kinds of mediums.
Her art is mostly bright and colorful, with a lot of layers. She loves color in all aspects of life, art and society. #rainbowismyfavoritecolor is her standard hashtag on social media. Her favorite art tool is a gel plate and her favorite mediums are acrylic paint, PanPastel, watercolor pencils and paint markers.
Birgit is a Lead Brand Ambassador for Gelli Arts® and teaches regular online live classes for Gelli Arts® and Michaels Stores.
Besides that she offers her own online workshops and had the honor to be a guest teacher on many online events like Creative JumpStart, Wanderlust, Life Book, Gratitude Junk Journal and more.
Birgit lives in the Netherlands in a little village called Winsum which is everything you expect from a Dutch village. It has canals, 2 windmills, 3 churches and is surrounded by green fields with sheep, cows and horses and even tulip fields are nearby.
She is a happy wife (together with the love of her life since 1986), proud mom of 3 and even prouder grandma.
She is her cat’s maid and her horses’ servant and she is good with that!
