Ann Sullivan Barnes has a passion for design and an appreciation for the art and architecture of the past. She is a licensed architect, earning her Architectural degree in 1994 from the University of Tennessee College of Architecture and Design. She has worked in many aspects of the profession, including historic preservation, and ran her own architectural firm primarily focused on residential design. When the care of her children took precedence over career, Ann found an artistic outlet through creating with her children. She also taught art at a private elementary school. Ann has always found making things as a wonderful way to express herself and relishes bringing conceptual ideas to life. She enjoys getting inky, working with paints, paper, and other mediums, as well as found objects. Ann loves spending time in the studio; when not there, she can be found taking a walk outside appreciating and gaining inspiration from the beauty that nature provides, admiring historic buildings, or simply tucked into a chair reading a good book.
