The July 2016 StencilClub collection was designed by Mary Beth Shaw and is part of her private collection - these are the designs that she creates for herself to use in her own artwork that are only shared on a limited basis with the members of StencilClub.
This month, Mary Beth created a stunning 9x12 stencil with a folk art feel - with the birds, leaves, and flowers, this design can be used in so many ways! Stencil it as-is for a gorgeous focal point in your art journal or on a mixed media canvas. Mask off parts of it to just use birds, flowers, or sections (maybe a headdress for a portrait?) This could even be turned into a Christmas design - a partridge in a pear tree, anyone?
The 6x6 and 4x4 stencils are fabulous foundational designs - the kind that you can never have enough of in your stencil collection! The wavy lines and squares can create abstract elements in your work, or they can help you add texture and pattern as you build up layers. They could even be used to create journaling lines and boxes! We can't wait to see what our club members do with these awesome stencils!
