Tina Walker found the inspiration for her Through the Gates Stencil when she visited the medical wing of Eastern State Penitentiary, located in Philadelphia, PA. It was operational from 1829 to 1971 and is reported to be haunted. Tina says, “If you are a history (or ghost hunter), it is a glorious place to visit.” Use this stencil as a gateway in your mixed media art or even more abstractly in your art journal.
