The Peruvian Sun Mask stencil by Cynthia Silveri was inspired by a literal depiction of a pattern from Peruvian textiles. Cynthia recently delved into color theory and studies of color relationships. As part of this work, she began looking at images of textiles from various cultures from around the world and was especially drawn to the rich reds and earthen tones and symbols used in Peruvian textiles.

Use this mask for monoprinting with a gelatin plate, repeat it for backgrounds in art journaling and mixed media artwork, or use it with cold wax or encaustic painting or acrylic mediums for amazing texture in your work.

This mini stencil is a must-have companion to the Peruvian Grid Stencil (S777) and the Symbols of Peru Stencil (L771).
